Food plays a key role in a child’s development. All Hallows is a mainstream, busy boarding school with seven days per week “wrap-around care” during term-time; children tell us (regularly!) that food is important!

Healthy eating is an important aspect of the school’s provision and the education of our children regarding choice, lifestyle and a balanced diet is a central part of our planning. All catering staff are qualified and experienced; food is prepared on-site; local suppliers are used as a matter of course; children and staff contribute ideas and preferences to the School Council. Our catering team undergo regular professional development and work very closely indeed with the residental staff. The dining room is always well monitored by staff to ensure that children are selecting enough of the right food and that good manners are maintained.

Parents should note that they are always welcome to join us for meals, particularly before and after sports matches when sustenance might be appreciated especially!
