House Music Lifts the Roof
3rd Nov 2015

All Hallows annual House Music competition had a Disco theme this year and was as lively as ever.  Having picked a classic Disco track out of a hat, the four houses set about rehearsing with some very enthusiastic staff (many of whom knew the songs, and the moves, very well indeed!).  The competition itself was awash with the usual anticipation, excitement and volume.

A considerable amount of talent was on display as the Junior and Senior representatives from each house took to the stage with some remarkably accomplished performances.  Then it was time for 'House Song' and the roof was lifted to the sounds of 'I will Survive', 'Making your Mind Up', 'Staying Alive' and, the winning song, 'In the Navy'.  Well done Batcombe!  Visiting judge, Mr Tim Angel, had a tough task but tackled the challenge brilliantly with some very positive and constructive feedback for all of the performers.  All in all, a great afternoon.
