After several years of fine tuning the PE and games programme we have really pushed on now to ensure it complements the skills the children need alongside providing opportunities that they may not otherwise experience. This term the children have enjoyed a structured swimming programme aimed at developing technique, Cross Country running (including some Inter House Cross Country for children in Years 3 to 8), Trampolining, Gymnastics and some Health related fitness.
The personalised activities programme continues to thrive and develop. This term has seen children entering the CGA golf tournaments, our Fencers are competing in several tournaments and many children are working their way through their Judo belts. Our Trampolinists took part in the South West Schools Championships this term with fantastic results. The senior team came 2nd qualifying for the Southern Zonal Finals next term and the junior team came 3rd, narrowly missing out on qualifying. The gymnasts continue to work through their badges whilst the cricketers continue to impress with six children making it through to various County squads in several age groups. Our Link with Arsenal Soccer School has proved very popular with many of our children from Year 3 and below enjoying the Wednesday training session here at All Hallows.
