Jolly Hockey Sticks

What a term all of the girls have had, across all age ranges. All Hallows swept the board at the Prior Park Tournament with both the U13 and the U12 A&B teams winning their respective tournaments. Our U11 A team won the Port Regis Tournament and the U9 girls were joint winners of the Millfield U9 Tournament. Both the U12 and the U13 B teams were, (yes you’ve guessed it!), winners of the Royal High Tournament. The U12 girls also put in some superb performances at IAPS to finish 6th nationally. Alongside this great crop of results were also some fantastic ‘runners up’ tournament results that we don’t even have room to publish! Well done to all the girls and staff – an outstanding season of Hockey and achievements.

Mud, grit and determination

The boys have also put in some outstanding performances on the Rugby field both at school and further afield. The U13s reached the Quarter Finals of the Bryanston Sevens succumbing to the eventual winners, Millfield, by only three tries after playing “out of their skins” (Mr Coombes’!) whilst the U11s made it to the Plate semi finals – a great achievement for their first experience of Sevens. Fin Brown, Ed McCabe, Tom Channer and Joe Cahill were selected for the Somerset County Team and Tom Hunt and Joe Cahill again were selected for the Wessex Region Rugby Team. Eight boys from All Hallows were selected for a Barbarians Trial – Tom Munro, George Ley-Morgan, Josh Whitemore and Henry Brand-Lyons at U11, and Ed McCabe, Alex Tower, Tom Channer and Fin Brown at U13 level. Alex Tower and Josh Whitemore were then selected for the U13 and U11 South West Teams respectively
