Santa’s on Strike! (but the Carol Services, Christmas Lunches and fun must go on...)
1st Dec 2011

What a performance kick started the festive celebrations here at All Hallows. The children in Reception and Years 1, 2 and 3 worked extremely hard and had great fun producing and performing their fantastic Christmas production! The children really flourished in their drama focused learning; their expression, and delivery of lines were a joy to behold. The Reception children took on the roles of ‘Tiny Tearaways’ with aplomb and produced an authentic all-singing, all-dancing display – they were convincingly bad!. Whilst our Year 3 ‘Carol Singers’ added a real depth and quality to the singing throughout.

The Junior Carol Service was given an ‘Open Air’ twist this year with part of the service conducted around the fire in the newly created ‘Roots Camp’ in Scouts’ Wood. What a fantastic atmosphere as the children, parents and staff sung together whilst enjoying hot drinks and marshmallows!

Our boarders enjoyed a whole host of festive activities including a Christmas lunch, a disco, carols on the steps and even a visit to Santa’s grotto to meet the man himself! Once again, the Carol Service on our final day of term proved a fitting finale to a wonderful Michaelmas Term and a time for reflection and celebration.
