Our Ethos: Happiness at the Heart of Everything We Do
At All Hallows, our ethos is more than a statement; it is the living foundation of our community. We believe that true education flourishes when children are happy, secure, and confident in who they are. Our Headmaster describes All Hallows as a "unique and inclusive Somerset Prep-School, where pupils, parents, and staff alike, feel they truly belong". This sense of belonging and the happiness and wellbeing of our pupils are the core principles that underpin everything we do. Our mission is to provide a secure and happy community, where children will develop the inner confidence and self-esteem necessary to flourish in a rapidly changing world.
The Whole Child: Our Five Core Aims
We believe that the different aspects of a child's life are mutually reinforcing. Working in partnership with parents, we aim to develop the "whole child" through a comprehensive philosophy that extends beyond traditional academics. Our five core aims guide this approach:
Intellectual
We foster intellectual character, critical thinking, and resilience within an ambitious learning community. Our innovative and flexible curriculum is designed to inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Personal
We promote healthy lifestyle choices and personal development through a wide range of opportunities in sports, music, drama, and various other activities. We believe every child has a contribution to make to our community.
Creative
We encourage a creative approach, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving. This includes imaginative insights that equip pupils with the skills they need for the future.
Emotional
We focus on developing emotional intelligence, resilience, empathy, and respect for others. We help pupils manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health concerns, ensuring they have access to the support they need.
Spiritual
As an inclusive Christian school, we integrate Christian principles into daily school life through warm relationships, prayer, and worship. We warmly welcome children and families of all faiths and none, believing that every child has an inherent value that is unique and exclusive to them.

A Community of Kindness, Curiosity & Resilience
The All Hallows community is defined by its kindness, determination, and resilience. We nurture our children's self-confidence and self-belief, encouraging them to be curious, reflective, and positive learners. When our pupils leave us at 13 to move on to senior school, they are exceptionally well-prepared for the next stage of their education and believe they can contribute positively to the world around them.
The best way to truly understand our ethos is to witness it in action. We invite you to visit our school and experience the unique energy and sense of community that makes All Hallows a home where children love to learn and thrive.
