Your Journey Starts Here: A Guide to Our Admissions Process
At All Hallows, we believe that the admissions process is a collaborative journey for both the family and the school. Our goal is to make this experience as seamless and welcoming as possible, guiding you through each step to ensure All Hallows is the right community for your child to grow and flourish. We are here to support you at every stage, from your initial inquiry to your child's first day.
The Admissions Process: A Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Get in Touch
The first step is for us to learn more about you and for you to learn more about us. Our Admissions team is ready to answer any questions you may have about our curriculum, ethos, and school life. You can contact us by phone or email, or by requesting our prospectus. This initial conversation is designed to help you gather the information you need to begin your journey.
Step 2: Visit the School
We understand that choosing a school is a team effort involving the whole family. A visit is the most important step in the process, as it allows you to truly experience the warmth and energy of our community for yourself. We encourage you to attend one of our Open Days or arrange a private tour with a member of our Admissions team or the Headmaster. This is your opportunity to tour our facilities, see our pupils in action, and ask all the questions that matter to your family.
Step 3: Register Your Child
Once you have decided that All Hallows is the right school for your child, the next step is to formally register for a place. This is done by completing our registration form and paying the non-refundable registration fee.
Step 4: Assessment
After registration, we will invite your child to an assessment. This is a relaxed and age-appropriate process designed to ensure that our school is the right fit for your child and their learning needs. For our youngest learners, this may involve a Taster Day in the classroom where they can meet their future teachers and classmates. For older pupils, this will include assessments in core subjects such as Maths and English, along with a report from their previous school. The Admissions team will provide you with all the details you need to prepare for this stage.
Step 5: Offer of a Place
Following a successful assessment, we will be delighted to offer your child a place at All Hallows. This offer will be made in writing and will outline the terms of the placement.
Step 6: Acceptance
To accept the offer, you will be asked to complete and return the acceptance form along with a deposit. Upon receipt, your child's place will be confirmed, and we will begin the process of welcoming your family to the All Hallows community.
Unique Entry Points
Our admissions process is designed to support the needs of every family, with dedicated pathways for our youngest learners and those requiring a boarding home.
Nursery and Reception
We welcome children into our Nursery class in the term following their third birthday and into our Reception class in the September when they are four years old. Your admissions process will be tailored to this stage, focusing on a seamless transition into our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Boarding and Military Families
All Hallows has a long tradition of educating the children of military and international families. We understand the unique challenges this can bring, and our admissions team is experienced in providing dedicated support to ensure a stable and nurturing environment. Our flexible boarding options are designed to meet different family needs. We are a Military Friendly School and offer a committed Armed Forces Package to support your family.
